Apply for financial assistance

Halifax City Soccer Club is committed to ensuring families with financial barriers receive support to make soccer accessible to their families. 

Halifax City Soccer Club are proud to announce the Colins Bryson Player Fund. Colin served for many years as club president in addition to many other roles with our club. In recognition of Colin’s contribution, a player’s fund in his name was established in 2021.

With the recent creation of the Colin Bryson Player Fund, families will also have a third funding stream to help pay for programs.

KidSport & JumpStart works with soccer clubs to provide registration fees and equipment funding to those who qualify. Jumpstart will provide up to $500 per year ($250 per soccer season) to players who qualify, while KidSport provides up to $500 per year. If you need financial assistance, please apply to both Jumpstart and KidSport to see if you qualify. 

Once you have been approved and exhausted funds with those organizations, families can apply for the Colin Bryson Player Fund to support with any leftover fees. 

IMPORTANT: If you intend to apply for JumpStart, KidSport and the Colin Bryson Player Fund, when registering for your desired program, you must select "Apply for Financial Aid" when completing your registration at the checkout. 

The registrant will not be charged any money at check out for financial aid registrations and their registration will go into a "pending financial aid" status. Only when we receive proof of application for KidSport &/OR JumpStart or receive the cheque will the registrant be approved to an active successful registration.
