The Timbits Fundamentals Program is designed for children in the FUNdamentals stage of player development. The program emphasizes active play, skill-building, and small-sided games to introduce the core skills of soccer in a fun and engaging way.
Age Groups:
U6: Born in 2020
U7: Born in 2019
Parent/Guardian Role: Encouraged to be supportive on the sidelines, but children participate independently with their team and coaches.

Spring Block (Mainland) - 5 Weeks
Summer Block (Saint Mary's University, Fort Needham Park, Springvale Elementary) - 12 Weeks

All coaches are trained and certified through Soccer Nova Scotia and the Canadian Soccer Association. Requirements include:
Respect in Sport certification
Ethical decision-making training
Valid police checks
This ensures a safe, supportive, and development-focused environment for all participants.
Development of fundamental movement skills (running, jumping, balance, coordination)
Introduction to core soccer skills (dribbling, passing, shooting)
Participation in fun, small-sided games
Building teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game
The program uses the Spond App to manage schedules, notifications, and updates. Families will receive a unique link to join prior to the start of the season.
Before the season begins, parents/guardians will receive an online presentation introducing:
Club values and philosophy
Development pathway for players
Safe sport guidelines and requirements
Club code of conduct
Sessions are designed around fun, learning, and skill development, not competition.
Parent encouragement from the sidelines helps foster player confidence and enjoyment.
